Build Circle: management with KPI responsibility

When a manager is responsible for results, they need to understand the numbers behind those results. Build Circle combines the people and operations management program in Learn Circle with KPI management.

Who it is for

Managers who own results

Build Circle fits managers responsible for people, operations and measurable results.

Build Circle is not the Build level. Build is also one of the five AOS levels. Enrollment never depends on your company being at the Build level.
What they work on
  • People management: expectations, feedback and performance conversations.
  • Operational management: schedules, standards and daily execution.
  • KPI management: the numbers behind their results, and what to do when a number is off track.
Build Circle only

KPI management

Build Circle adds KPI management to the shared people and operations program.

  • Understand the numbers behind the results they are responsible for.
  • Review those numbers on a regular rhythm instead of waiting for surprises.
  • Turn an off-track number into a specific action with an owner.
  • Report results to the owner clearly and consistently.
Classes

Examples of classes

The people and operations management program shared by Learn Circle and Build Circle includes classes like these.

  1. The Cost of Low StandardsSee how small, tolerated misses affect quality, morale and clients, and how to reset clear expectations.
  2. Time Management for ManagersPlan the week around priorities so daily interruptions do not run the day.
  3. The Conversation Before the Write-UpAddress performance early with a clear, respectful conversation before formal discipline is needed.
  4. Managing Patterns, Not IncidentsSpot recurring problems and fix the cause instead of reacting to each event one at a time.
  5. Loyalty vs. AccountabilityHold long-time, loyal team members to the same standards as everyone else, without damaging the relationship.
  6. Manager to Leader: Getting Out of the Daily WeedsShift time from doing the work to leading the people who do it.
From a manager who grew with Liz

“I started in her Managers Circle, and I’m now the Regional Manager overseeing three locations.”

Working with Liz Trotter at Core Profit Builders has made such a difference in my growth as a leader. I started in her Managers Circle, and I’m now the Regional Manager overseeing three locations, each with its own manager who also attends her Managers Circle.

What I appreciate most is that Liz doesn’t just give you the answers. She asks thoughtful questions and coaches you to find the answers yourself, helping you build the confidence and skills to lead your team.

Through our one-on-one coaching, she has helped me grow as a leader and better coach the managers I support. With her guidance, we’ve strengthened our leadership team, improved our day-to-day operations, and created more consistency across all three locations. I’m grateful for how she challenges and supports me, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to grow as a leader!
